Kansas Genealogical Society Annual Meeting
The Kansas Genealogical Society annual meeting and seminar will be Thursday October 7, 2010, V/S Lower Level Meeting Room, Village Square Mall, 2601 Central, Dodge City, Kansas. Registration and coffee starts are 9 A.M. Lunch is on your own from 12:00 to 1:15 P.M. The featured speaker is Mary Clement Douglass of Salina. Mrs. Douglass revised the “Kansas” chapter in Ancestry’s Red Book, 2004 Edition. She is the director of the Association of Professional Genealogists and the past director of the Genealogical Speakers Guild. She was curator for the Smoky Hills Museum in Salina for ten years. Mrs. Douglass will speak on 1) Help! I’ve Fallen Under my Genealogy Notes & I Can’t Get Up; 2) Read That Deed for All It’s Worth! Are You Using All the Clues Found in A Land Transfer? and 3) More Than Just Pretty Pictures: Effectively Use Maps in Research.
